Conference Overview

Conferences are geographically organized areas lead by our Conference Leaders. There are 15 different Conferences. Active programs (i.e. - colleges and universities) join a Conference and compete in events. Organization of these areas creates avenues for both active, new and propsective programs a way to compete and get involved with College Disc Golf throughout the season within a geographically closer area than Regional events.

Conference events serve as a low barrier way for active, new and propsective programs to gain more competitive college disc golf experience. Conference events are hosted by various programs or TDs within the Conference as a way to encourage and foster competition among programs within that area outside of Regional events.

As a way to keep the low barrier entry, Conference events do not have to be PDGA Sanctioned. At the same time, athletes competing in Conference events do not have to hold a CDG Season membership or be roster verified. Every program going to Nationals must compete in at least 1 Conference event.

Encouraging Participation

Like many other club or collegiate sports, the season is not just comprised of top level events. These lower tiered events are meant to encourage participation throughout the CDG season to help keep programs active. Conferences allow programs closer together geographically to compete with one another.
