  • What’s the process to run a CDG event?

    For Regional events, there’s an application that is open in the spring time and closes early summer. Conference events can be hosted throughout the regular season, just be sure to fill out the form at https://collegediscgolf.com/conferences/

  • How many events can my program compete in each season?

    There is no cap to the number of CDG events a program can compete in. You can compete in as many Regional and/or Conference events as your program budget allows for.

  • How many events are there each season?

    There are a set number of Regional events based on the total number of D1 and D2 bids to Nationals. There is an unlimited number of Conference events that take place.

  • Do we have to compete in a Conference event?

    Any program looking to compete at Nationals must compete in at least 1 Conference event each season to be eligible.

  • What is a Regional event?

    Regional events are where programs can earn their D1 or D2 bid to the National Championships and require compliance requirements to be met by athletes.

Memberships FAQs

  • How do we purchase a membership?

    Program managers should have all of the information needed to either purchase memberships in bulk or let their team members know how to purchase individual memberships. If you need assistance, please reach out to alexisk@collegediscgolf.com

  • An athlete is already PDGA renewed for 2026, what do we do?

  • What’s the difference between the amateur and professional membership?

    Athletes should choose the membership type that matches their PDGA membership classification. If an athlete doesn’t have an existing PDGA account, they’re considered an amateur.

  • How much are CDG memberships?

    For the 2025 – 2026 Season, there are 2 types of CDG memberships. The Amateur Membership is $110 and the Professional Membership is $125.

  • Does the CDG membership include your PDGA membership?

    Yes. The CDG membership will include an athlete’s 2026 PDGA membership renewal or join.

New Programs FAQs

  • How do we join a Conference?

    There are 15 different Conferences that make up CDG. After you officially are registered as a program, we will assign you to the Conference you feel your program best belongs in.

  • What is the compliance process for CDG?

    Compliance refers to memberships and roster verification. Programs must meet compliance requirements to compete at Regionals and/or Nationals.

  • Can we compete in CDG events without being an official program?

    Programs may compete in Conference events without being an officially registered disc golf program with CDG. Regionals and Nationals require official registration of your program.

  • Does my program need to be a club sport on campus?

    Every institution’s guidelines, policies and structures for recognizing a disc golf program on campus are different. We recommend you reach out to the head of student orgs or club sports to see how to form a disc golf program on campus.

  • How do I get our new program officially recognized by CDG?

    The first step to starting a new program so you can compete at CDG events is to register your program with CDG. Email us at info@collegediscgolf.com to get started!

  • What is the compliance process for CDG?

    Compliance refers to memberships and roster verification. Programs must meet compliance requirements to compete at Regionals and/or Nationals.

National Championship FAQs

  • Can I spectate the CDGNC?

    Yes! We would love for parents and fans to come out and cheer on your favorite college disc golf program. There is no fee to spectate this event. You can visit our website for update Nationals information: https://collegediscgolf.com/national-championship/.

  • I’d like to vend or volunteer for this Nationals. How can I?

  • When can a program register for 2026 Nationals?

    On January 7th, registration for programs who have earned a D1 or D2 bid and any Women’s teams may register. D3 registration will open up on Feb. 4th at 3:00 p.m. EST. Make sure to read the registration page for more details and make sure you are subscribed to the Newsletter to stay informed!

  • +Where will the Championship be held in 2026?

    We will return to Rock Hill, SC for the 2026 CDGNC.

  • When is the 2026 National Championship?

    April 8 – 11, 2026

Rosters FAQs

  • Is there roster locking for players on specific teams (D1/D2/D3)?

    There is currently no roster locking rules in place at this time and coaches and captains may switch out who plays in what division throughout the season.

  • Who is ineligible to compete in College Disc Golf?

    Anyone who is holding an active partial or full Disc Golf Pro Tour Tour Card within the current season or students who do not meet enrollment requirements. More information can be found at https://collegediscgolf.com/rules-and-compliance/

  • Can I submit more than one roster form in a season?

    Yes. If you have new athletes join your program throughout the season, you need to submit a new form.

  • Who is my registrar?

    This is the academics records official on your campus, usually located in a physical building. The registrar may be different for your institution so make sure to do your research!

  • When do I start the roster verification process?

    As soon as your program is registered and ready to start competing at Regionals/Nationals you can get your form filled out, turned into your registrar’s office and submitted to CDG. Getting a form verified may take some time, so make sure to get started early!

  • What does roster verification mean?

    The roster verification step is part of CDG compliance. This process ensures that athletes meet our enrollment requirements as a student.
